The brand, which launched its new Incredi-belt in Cannes, has debuted a new-look website as it shifts towards a new, wider category for shoppers

Cabeau has taken a step in a new direction with a move into the health and wellness category.

Long-known within the travel retail sector as the maker of neck pillows, the brand has expanded its offering, headlined by its new Incredi-belt, which takes its offer beyond the realms of just travel.

The Incedi-belt, which was on display at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes, offers inflatable and adjustable support for anyone sitting down – whether on an airplane seat or a desk chair.

Reflecting the brand’s shift towards health and wellness, the Incredi-belt is designed to answer the growing problem with back pain around the world. According to research, 30% of people in America have chronic lower back pain, while 80% of people worldwide have endured back pain in the past year. On top of that, 87% of travellers listed back pain as a complaint.

Following the lead of Cabeau’s Evolution S3 neck pillow, which was endorsed by orthopedic surgeon Dr Neil Ghodadra, the Incredi-belt has been recommended by Chiropractic Sports Medicine Specialist Dr Craig Keoshian.

“Our Incredi-belt launch was met with an overwhelming response at the TFWA show,” Cabeau CEO David Sternlight tells DFNI.

“I think people understood it right away, and it was exciting for our team to experience.  We also saw an opportunity to diversify into a new markets as well with a product that helps people anytime they sit – which we’re doing far too much of – or sleep.

“Being doctor endorsed and having multiple patents pending added to the intrigue. We see an enormous opportunity with our move into the broader health and wellness category.”

The move towards the health & wellness category comes with a digital overhaul for Cabeau, as the brand unveiled an updated and upgraded website offer which launched this weekend.

Based on feedback from customers, the new-look site at Cabeau.com seeks to create a more seamless and easy digital shopping journey for consumers.

“Cabeau.com has been fully redesigned to help consumers find appropriate wellness solutions for the discomforts they experience while traveling and beyond,” says Bryce Fujii, Cabeau Vice President of Marketing.

“Consumers’ self-reported everyday use has driven our strategy to recognize the added value Cabeau products provide to offer comfort and therapeutic relief in their daily lives, too.”
